| Madagascar remains in a difficult political position, and Torina is now back in her village area. Any funds we collect will be directed toward village projects that benefit her village as a whole, as they are without water and food is scarce, and also Ricky Olombelo's music camp project, as he is still bringing music to the island when he can. Our hearts reach out to this amazing island, and we hope the political situation will resolve soon. | | |
| Despite the political upheaval and continued violence in the capital, Torina somehow found her way to Antananarivo to start her education at the Chrysalis School. She needs to perfect her French, and take required classes so that she can pass her baccalaureate exams.
Here is a link to her school: The Chrysalis School
We are stunned that she left her family and her tiny hut near the village of Marovoay, and was able to get to the capital. We are doing all that we can to raise funds to enable her to be able to stay at this school.
Any fundraiser ideas you might have, we are very interested!

| Words cannot express the feelings we have right now for what is happening in Madagascar. We are proceeding with plans to meet Olombelo Ricky in Amsterdam this week to raise funds for his music school. We hope he is able to get out of the country....a large exodus of people are leaving.
Madagascar, you are deep within our hearts.

| The Torina Fund is now an active non-profit organization. We have a few projects in progress in Madagascar. Check them out at www.torinasworld.com in the "Get Involved" section! Our goal is to connect donors with small projects in Madagascar so that they have direct involvement in the project.
